Global Fury Cagefighting (GFC) is the state’s newest and hottest mixed martial arts (MMA) organization. Formed in September 2008, GFC enters the industry with a strong ownership and management team. Christian Maes, Chief Executive Officer and Co-founder, has already established himself as one of New Mexico’s most respected and recognized MMA radio analysts, publicists, managers, matchmakers, and promoters. Abel Rivera, Chief Financial Officer and Co-founder, provides the business backbone and brings the structure of GFC’s day-to-day operations. Abel graduated from the University of New Mexico’s Anderson School of Business with a double major in Accounting and General Management. This dynamic team is prepared to guide GFC as the premier showcase for up-and-coming fighters.
